About Our Vineyard

Destiny Bay is a small, single vineyard, family owned winery that specializes in estate grown and bottled blends of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet
Franc, Malbec and Petit Verdot.

Nestled in a tiny, north facing valley with a climate that favors the grape like nowhere else, grape clones of impeccable lineage grow on steep slopes of cracking clay soils. Destiny Bay wines are known for their delicate balance, distinctive harmony and finesse, elegant structure and rich varietal flavor. Destiny Bay wines are available at fine restaurants and specialty wine merchants. They also can be ordered direct from the winery where wine enthusiasts and collectors may become members of an exclusive Patron Club.

Destiny Bay also is a founding member of  The Specialist Winegrowers of New Zealand, a group of small, artisan wine producers who specialize in a single variety or style of wine (www.tswnz.com).

Destiny Bay is Waiheke Island’s first fully certified Sustainable Winery & Vineyard (SWNZ).

Restaurant

As a specialist producer of Cabernet blends we exclusively focus on our grape growing and winemaking efforts and have chosen not to operate a restaurant.  If you are visiting us for a private tour and tasting we are happy to make a recommendation to one of our fellow Waiheke vineyards as suits your preferences.
