Waiheke Island Vineyard Photo Competition Terms & Conditions

By entering your photo into the Waiheke Winegrowers Association Photo Competition, you give the Waiheke Winegrowers Association permission to use the photos entered for future promotional activities.

Terms and Conditions:

  1. The competition opens on Saturday December 8th 2018 and closes on January 31st 2019. No entries will be accepted outside of these times and dates.
  2. Entries may originate as digital photos or film but must be submitted in electronic form.
  3. All Entries need to be Full High Definition of 1920×1080 pixels at 72 dpi.
  4. Photographs submitted must be taken on Waiheke Island, New Zealand and need to include at least one of the following; grape vines, wine tasting, food and wine, or stunning Waiheke Island vineyard seaviews. The images need to be generic, in that they are not promoting one particular vineyard.
  5. The entire Entry must be a single work of original material taken by the Entrant. By entering the Entrant asserts that the submitted photograph is an original work created exclusively by the Entrant and that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other person or entity has any right, title, claim, or interest in the photograph.
  6. By submitting the photo, the entrant declares that they have the permission of all individual(s) captured in a photo(s) to share and publish their image. Large group shots are exempt.
  7. Photographs with watermarks are ineligible.
  8. Images entered must be fit for public display and not depict drunkenness or irresponsible consumption of alcohol. The Organisers reserve the right to remove any entry it deems inappropriate.
  9. Submitted photographic entries that fail to meet the specified format will not be considered and will be disqualified from entry with no correspondence entered into.
  10. Images that are obviously heavily digitally altered will not be accepted as entries to the competition.
  11. Entrants may be required to provide the original source of their photo for enlargement and display purposes. Please note, images may be cropped for display purposes in the marketing collateral.
  12. Entry to the competition gives the Waiheke Winegrowers Association the right to use and redistribute the image on their website, social media, printed and other promotional material. Entries received by the Waiheke Winegrowers Association will not be made available to third parties for use outside of Waiheke Winegrowers Association.”
  13. No correspondence will be entered into with the entrant if their entry is not selected for the Waiheke Winegrowers website.
  14. If the organisers are unable to open or upload the entries submitted because of technical errors caused by file quality or if the file is damaged, the organiser reserves the right not to include the entries in the competition. No correspondence will be entered into with the entrant.
  15. Photo credits for the winning images will be offered, but no monetary renumeration will be requested or offered for the use of images.
  16. The entrant’s consent to these Terms and Conditions is through their uploading of photos to the competition online.
  17. Staff and immediate families of the Waiheke Winegrowers Association are not eligible to enter the competition. ‘Immediate’ refers to siblings, parents, children or spouses.
  18. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  19. The prize is non-transferable and is not redeemable for cash.
  20. The Prize winner will be announced on the Waiheke Wine Facebook page by February 23rd 2019.
